Frequently Asked Questions

Your membership, content, payments and privacy — explained

These answers explain the Quigley Shores Terms of Use in plain language. They are grouped into five parts, in the order most members need them: your agreement and account, membership and billing, creators and payouts, content and conduct, and the legal terms that apply to everyone.

Each answer cites the section of the Terms it summarises, so you can read the full provision whenever you need the exact wording. Where this guide and the Terms differ, the Terms control.

Part I

Your Agreement and Your Account

Part II

Membership, Billing and Cancellation

What membership includes, how subscriptions are charged, how to cancel or close your account, and how referral rewards work.

10 What can I do as a Member?

Quigley Shores is a social and dating platform. As a Member you can:

  • create public or semi-public profiles;
  • communicate with other Members;
  • upload and share content;
  • subscribe to Creator content and features; and
  • receive payments through approved Payment Providers.

We are not a party to transactions or communications between Members, except as expressly stated in the Terms.

Read moreTerms of Use, §5 (Nature of the Services)

11 How much does membership cost, and when am I charged?

Prices, fees and payment terms are disclosed before you purchase, where required by law. The amount shown at checkout is the amount that applies to that purchase.

Unless you cancel in line with the cancellation process, you authorise us and our Payment Providers to charge your selected payment method for recurring or one-time purchases, including applicable taxes, fees and renewals.

Read moreTerms of Use, §8 (Payments, Fees and Payouts)

12 Will my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Subscriptions are recurring arrangements: you authorise recurring charges to your selected payment method until you cancel in accordance with the cancellation process described in the Services. Renewal charges may include applicable taxes and fees.

If you cancel, your access generally continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Read moreTerms of Use, §8 · Terms of Use, §9

13 How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel through the process provided in the Services — for example, from your subscription settings — or by contacting support. Cancellation requests are handled in line with the Terms and the cancellation process shown in the Services.

If you would like help, email support@QuigleyOats.com.

Read moreTerms of Use, §9 · Cancellation page · Contact Us

14 What happens after I cancel?

Cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, unless otherwise stated. Until then, your access continues for the period you have paid for and while your account remains in good standing.

After that, no further payments are taken for the cancelled subscription and access to the related content ends.

Read moreTerms of Use, §9 (Cancellation and Account Deactivation) · Terms of Use, §7

15 Are payments refundable?

To the maximum extent permitted by law, all purchases are final and non-refundable, unless a refund is required by law or we expressly state otherwise in writing.

If you believe a charge is wrong, contact support before raising a dispute with your bank. A chargeback or refund may end the related access and lead to amounts being reversed or offset.

Read moreTerms of Use, §8 · Terms of Use, §1 (Chargeback, Refund)

16 How do I deactivate or delete my account?

You may deactivate your account through the process provided in the Services or by contacting support. Deactivation ends your access and any subscriptions attached to the account.

If you are both a Creator and a Subscriber, settle any open subscriptions and payout balance before you close the account, or contact support for guidance.

Read moreTerms of Use, §9 · Contact Us

17 What happens to my information after my account is closed?

When an account is deleted or terminated we may retain certain information as required by law, and for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, tax compliance, recordkeeping and other legitimate business purposes.

Information others have copied, or that appears in backups, may persist for a period. We handle retention in line with the Privacy Policy.

Read moreTerms of Use, §9 · Privacy Policy

18 How does the referral program work?

We may offer a referral or incentive program, subject to additional terms. We may modify, suspend or terminate the program at any time — but rewards already earned and validly vested before a change will not be affected, except as required by law.

We may withhold or reverse referral rewards in cases of fraud, abuse, error or a breach of the referral terms.

Read moreTerms of Use, §14 (Referral Program)

Part III

Creators, Subscriptions and Payouts

How Creators earn, how payouts are calculated and protected, and what Subscribers may do with Creator content.

19 How do Creators earn on Quigley Shores?

Creators make certain content available to Subscribers through paid access features, such as a profile or vault intended for subscription access. Subscribers pay for that access, and we credit the Creator’s Payout Account with the resulting earnings, less the deductions described in the Terms.

Read moreTerms of Use, §7 (Creator Content and Subscriber Access) · Terms of Use, §8

20 How is a Creator payout calculated?

Your Payout Account is credited with earnings from Subscriber payments, less:

  • platform fees;
  • payment processing fees;
  • chargeback reserves;
  • refunds;
  • taxes and withholding; and
  • any other amounts permitted by law or disclosed to you.

The amounts that apply to your account are shown in the Services and in your payout statements.

Read moreTerms of Use, §8 (Payments, Fees and Payouts)

21 When might a payout be delayed, withheld or reversed?

We may delay, withhold, reverse or offset payouts in order to:

  • address fraud or suspected fraud;
  • respond to chargebacks or refunds;
  • comply with legal or tax obligations;
  • verify identity or payment information; and
  • enforce the Terms.

If a payout is affected, contact support for details about your account.

Read moreTerms of Use, §8 · Contact support

22 What may a Subscriber do with Creator content?

If you are a Subscriber, you may access Creator content only for your own lawful, personal, non-commercial use — and only during the period you have paid for and while your account remains in good standing.

You may not copy, download, redistribute, resell, record or republish Creator content, except where the law expressly permits it or the Company has given written permission.

Read moreTerms of Use, §7

23 Do I own the content I upload?

Read moreTerms of Use, §6 (Member Content and License)

24 What licence do I grant Quigley Oats when I upload content?

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, modify for formatting or technical display, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit and otherwise use your Member Content as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate and improve the Services;
  • display your content to other Members as your settings intend;
  • promote the Services or your profile and content, where permitted by law and your account settings; and
  • detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security issues and policy violations.

You keep ownership of your content; the licence allows us to run and promote the Services.

Read moreTerms of Use, §6

25 What do I promise about the content I upload?

When you submit Member Content you represent and warrant that:

  • you own or control all rights necessary to submit it;
  • it does not infringe the rights of any third party;
  • any person appearing in it has consented to that use, where required by law; and
  • it is accurate, lawful and non-confidential.

29 Someone is harassing me or impersonating me. What should I do?

We may remove or disable access to content that is alleged to infringe copyright. Accounts of repeat infringers may be terminated where appropriate.

If you believe your content was removed in error, you can respond through the counter-notice process in our DMCA Policy.

32 May I use the Quigley name, logo or trademarks?

No, not without our prior written permission. The Services — including all software, branding, text, graphics and designs owned by the Company — are protected by intellectual property laws, and no right, title or interest in them is transferred to you.

You may not use our trademarks, logos or brand features without prior written permission.

34 When can Quigley Oats suspend or terminate my account?

36 Does Quigley Oats guarantee that the Services will always be available?

No. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free of harmful components.

37 What is the limit of Quigley Oats’ liability?

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity.
